The problem we saw
AI tools have transformed how developers work. Terminal-native harnesses like Claude Code and OpenCode give engineers an AI copilot that understands their context, connects to their tools, and works alongside them — not in a separate browser tab.
But everyone else — the account managers, legal teams, operations leads, analysts, HR professionals — they're still stuck with fragmented consumer chat apps. No context. No governance. No connection to the tools where their real work happens.
Meanwhile, IT leaders are left playing whack-a-mole with shadow AI usage: no central point of control, no cost visibility, no compliance trail, and no way to enforce data protection policies.
What Workjet does differently

Desktop-first
A fast, lightweight native app — not a browser tab. Starts in under a second, uses minimal memory, and works on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Gateway-governed
Every AI interaction routes through your company's gateway. DLP scanning, model routing, cost tracking, and audit logging — all enforced automatically.
Credentials stay local
Tool credentials and API keys are stored in your operating system's secure keychain. They never leave your device or pass through any server.
Model agnostic
Use Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure, or any provider. Switch anytime. The gateway routes to the right model for each task — your workflows don't change.
